Welcome
The increasing nature of competitiveness in pre-tertiary education has brought with it the need for second-cycle education institutions to produce all-around high-caliber students. These new demands in education have called for more resources and interventions from both government and second-cycle institutions. To produce these newly required students there is the need to provide students who are cognitively, emotionally and behaviorally engaged. This, therefore, calls for additional extra-curricular education in the form of mentorship by experienced alumni to provide this missing cog in the training of the current second-cycle students.
The alumni of Wesley Grammar School, Accra, Ghana (WESGOSA) response to resolve the current challenges is the launch of the WESGOSA Student Mentorship Programme. The programme is a two-part annual mentorship event for students of Wesley Grammar Senior High School, Accra, Ghana.
In collaboration with dedicated professionals of WESGOSA, the objectives of the mentorship programme are:
- Provide orientation for Wesley Grammar Senior High School students to create a culture in the school that will enable them to reach the higher pinnacle they seek in their professional careers.
- Provide role models from WESGOSA to serve as guiding models of how to strive for excellence in their professional careers to be of service to the School, the Community and the Country.
- Provide a learning environment that seeks excellence and enhances the study of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) in Wesley Grammar Senior High School.
WESGOSA Student Mentorship Programme

The first part is to provide orientation and guidance to the newly admitted students in the first month of their first year. The second part is to be held to provide mentorship for the second and final-year students in the first month of reopening. These two events have a different focus for the students of Wesley Grammar Senior High School.
